*R15; next up, burberry

Ok, so I have a confession to make...

I am really, really liking the Burberry brand.

I don't know what it is; maybe it's the fact that they're moving away from that nude-checkered pattern that the brand is known for and into a more...colorful territory, but something is speaking to me, and it is saying, "I'm fun, I'm playful, I'm luxury."

Christopher Bailey, Chief Creative and CEO at Burberry, seems to really know what he's doing, steering the 158 year old brand in a magnificent direction. Recently, we've seen a unique use of materials-from shiny metallics to see-through plastics- and while, the clothing still retains its luxe feel, designers have taken that and added a fun ease to it, experimenting with new, bright colors and textures.

Love these textured skirts!..and the length=sophistication

The classic elements are still there- the British feel, the longer silhouette, even the "Burberry Trench,"- but this time reworked in a fresh, modern take.

Ruffles, ombre AND leather; what more could you want?

*Buy or Bye?!: @rihanna

Darlings, Queen B reigned supreme in our last edition, but now it's time to put your voting fingers to use again.

Queen of controversial outfits, and ex-queen of Instagram, Rihanna, covers the July/August issue of Harper's Bazaar Arabia.

While the title "The New Modesty: Cover up in Style" suggests a bad girl gone good, we all know Rih loves to bare it all.

Do you believe this Bajan beauty and recent CFDA Style Icon Award recipient has changed her ways? Or are you not buying it?

...harem action realness...
I think she slays...but it's not for me to decide.

Let your clicker do the talking.

*R15: from the top, A. Wang

***
So kiddies, it has indeed taken me quite a while to compile and document my favorite resort collections which I guess I will quickly run through, showing you my favorite looks.

First off, we have A. Wang. A relative newcomer to the fashion scene, Wang first gained notoriety for winning the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund competition in 2008. Since then, he has, in addition to maintaining his own line, been hired as the Creative Director for the fashion powerhouse Balenciaga and successfully demonstrated impeccable tailoring skills and innovation when it comes to design.

His offerings for the 2015 Resort collections are no exception, with Wang, showing progression in his work and featuring his own urban, street flair with a tongue-in-cheek nouveau approach to tie-dye.

Wang said he was preoccupied with the idea of care instructions and things being ruined by washing, colors running and such, and thus, a laundromat setting was the designer's ideal setting when preparing the lookbook.

And, while not all of his clothing may be to my liking, none can deny that he is has a unique perspective when it comes to clothing.

What do you think?

I'm diggin' it...hehe

..to get us in a summery mood!

With summer in the air [and thankfully so] nothing says easy, breezy like the new 2015 Resort Collections that have recently debuted.

Coming from the Caribbean [which is probably the pioneer of resort clothing], I find it quite interesting to see how foreign designers interpret resort clothing. And, while these collections need not necessarily showcase blowing-in-the-wind, tie-dyed fabrics, due to a global shift towards simplicity, comfort and chicness, it seems that these pieces are [in the same vein] stylish, wearable and easily integrated into any wardrobe. I mean, isn't that the point of resort, effortless comfort?

I'll stop now and let the clothes do the talking...

Click for hyperlinks to some of my favorite collections and head on over to Style.com to see ALL the gorgeousness.

Enjoy!

Darlings, happy to report that I am in sunny Miami, treating myself to a very well-deserved graduation present!

This past year has been without-a-doubt very rigorous and it's nice to have time to kick-back, drink lots of wine and relax.

The weather in Miami is absolutely gorgeous now; not too hot, but sunny and warm enough to tan by the pool, cocktail in hand, something that I have been taking FULL advantage of!

Lots of fashion coming up lovelies...

...right after I return from the beach. *wink*

Enjoy this wonderfully appropriate editorial featured in this month's Vogue Australia's issue.

...wish I could look like that on the beach.
